School Leadership Team
The SLT is a committee that meets monthly to discuss school-wide educational policies and ensure that school resources are aligned to meet these policies. Through a collaborative decision-making process, it develops and monitors the implementation of the school’s Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). The SLT is made up of the principal, the UFT chapter leader, the PTA president, and elected parents, teachers, and other staff members.

New York State Education Law Section 2590-h requires every New York City Public School to have a School Leadership Team. In addition, Chancellor’s Regulation A-655 (CR A-655) establishes guidelines to ensure the formation of effective SLTs in every New York City public school.
